According to data from the National Debt Register of the Economic Information Bureau, the IT industry's arrears have increased by almost 22 percent and now amount to over PLN 230 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March 2022, the sector's financial arrears amounted to less than PLN 180 million. The number of indebted entities increased from 6,388 to 7,028, and the average debt was PLN 32.8 thousand, which is PLN 4 thousand more than a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IT sector is one of the industries that is particularly affected by payment defaults. It would be much easier for companies to pay off debt<\/a>, if their customers settled outstanding invoices for IT services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IT sector is most in arrears, with 97.2 million PLN of debt to pay. Construction companies are next (55.6 million PLN), and the top three are closed by transport and warehousing (45.7 million PLN). In total, 50.1 thousand customers owe IT companies 412.3 million PLN.
