World's largest chemical company lowers its annual targets

👉The chemical industry is seen as an indicator of the state of the global economy. Meanwhile, other giants are slowing down. In June, Lanxess, a chemicals group based in Cologne, lowered its full-year profit forecast by as much as 30 percent.

👉The Swiss chemical company Clariant followed suit, as did MDax Evonik. Now BASF has joined this group, the largest enterprise chemical in the world based in Germany.

As the German daily "Handelsblatt" emphasizes, the fact that chemical companies are lowering their forecasts on a large scale is a bad sign for the entire global economy ❌The expected economic recovery will probably be much weaker than expected.
