Avalanche of company insolvencies in Poland? Experts warn

Share this article:

Skyrocketing energy prices, rising fuel prices and rising inflation are the key factors which, in the opinion of PMR Restructuring experts, will soon lead to the insolvency - depending on the pandemic situation - of between 2,000 and 4,000 companies in Poland. The increase in operating costs may cause the number of restructurings to reach record levels again, which are already the highest ever.
- It is encouraging that companies are increasingly fighting for their existence and instead of going bankrupt, they decide to repair their business. However, the number of proceedings is overwhelming and there is little indication today that the upward trend will reverse in the near future. The factor that may bring more companies to the brink of bankruptcy in the coming months is the rapidly rising costs jobs, which in the near future will be felt most by small and medium-sized companies, often without any financial support – comments Małgorzata Anisimowicz, President of the Management Board of PMR Restrukturyzacje and a qualified restructuring advisor, for the Interia Biznes website.
