In 2022, we saw a noticeable increase in the number of companies in restructuring from the sector producing gloves, masks, gowns and disinfectants. During the pandemic, the industry was able to count on record profits and the product range it offered was spreading like fresh buns Now, however, the demand for medical devices has decreased significantly.
The reasons for the current problems are primarily small margins. The funds industry protection is one of the few where prices are lower than before the pandemic by as much as 20-30 percent. In addition, there is the need to have high financial liquidity. The clients of this group of companies are usually hospitals, which rarely pay on time
The current crisis is also the result of a lack of forward thinking. Many companies produced as if the pandemic would last for years. Unfortunately, now many companies have been left in the proverbial 'lurch' with a huge stock of unsold goods that are losing value.
Experts emphasise that if someone has not made good use of the funds they earned during the pandemic, they have hit a very difficult business environment. Today, competition is definitely higher than before the coronavirus, as a great many new players have decided to enter the medical device industry.
