More and more people are choosing to take advantage of consumer bankruptcy. And the fact that there are more and more people who, in a difficult financial situation, decide to take such a step is thanks to the law, which now makes it possible to start everything almost from scratch. More than 5 000 bankruptcies have already been declared this year. This is already more than twice as many as in the previous year.
According to PMR experts Restructuring SA steady increase in bankruptcy filings consumer applications submitted in Poland is a natural, normal and desirable trend. In their opinion, the average annual number consumer bankruptcies in Poland it should be around 50 thousand. In much more affluent and twice as large Germany number of consumer bankruptcies oscillates around 100,000 per year.
Consumer bankruptcy allows people to get out of trouble when they get into a debt spiral. Even if their apartment is sold (which doesn't always happen these days), the court allocates part of the amount obtained for a year or two years of rent, so that the debtor doesn't end up on the street. And not everything you own is taken to pay off debts that may be written off after some time.
