It is still less than a month since the launch of the Early Warning programme by PARP and the Family Firms Foundation, and already 16 entrepreneurs from all over Poland have signed up for it. The project is a pilot and will end in 2023.
To participate in the programme, simply fill in a simple form at www.parp.gov.pl, describing the problems faced by the company and selecting the consultant with whom the entrepreneur wishes to work. The profiles of the consultants - business psychologists, trainers and coaches - are also available on this website. At the moment there are four consultants, but in four months there are expected to be ten.
The first stage of assistance is to work with a consultant, which will last about 10 hours. After that, the entrepreneur will be referred for further work with a mentor - an experienced entrepreneur who will help find the right solutions to a difficult situation. The programme has 23 mentors who work pro bono. The target number is to be 50 by the end of the year.
If the company is in serious trouble, its owner will be referred to a restructuring advisor who will help to fix the situation in the company. The first two hours of his work are free, and further assistance depends on individual arrangements between restructuring advisor and a businessman.
