Gas price rises, Polski Ład and Omikron threaten restaurants

The end of 2021 and the beginning of next year will see energy and gas price rises that are keeping the entire catering industry up at night.
According to experts at PMR Restructuring, limited budgets, combined with rising inflation and soaring fixed costs, could bring up to several thousand companies to the brink of insolvency.
Last year's record of 2125 registered insolvencies of Polish companies (which represented a 71 per cent increase y-o-y), may already be out of date in 11 months. The main causes of the next avalanche of restructurings and bankruptcies will be inflation and jumps in fixed costs, in the form of, inter alia, energy prices and the ever-growing pressure on wages.
